Evolving Fan Displays

Why so many ceilling fans?

So Many New Designs

Energy Star Models

Keeping up with changing displays

Theatricality versus Practicality

Benefits of Spaciousness

We would not have 250 ceiling fans on display if there were not so many new modern, contemporary and transitional designs coming into inventory and now on display. Part of our mission is to present to customers the best in new designs, energy saving motor technology, lighting adaptations, finishes and accessories. Every week our buying team review new models and ceilling fan features against what we believe customers want, including a customer value assessment which we have developed over many years. That’s our job, and our reputation depends on only showing customers and designers quality products which please for long periods of time.

We know that time spent reviewing the broad selection of designs at Wilcorp, is worth the effort, because quality ceilling fans can last twenty years and longer.

Kudos to our Canadian Government for imposing wattage restrictions on ceilling fan, appliance and lighting manufacturers. The results can be seen in our showroom every day. Wilcorp ceilling fans out last and out- perform lesser quality ceiling fans available at cheaper prices or from cross border warehouses.

You can thank our buyers and also one person in particular for the fan and lighting displays laid out across our ten showrooms and studios. Larry Russell has been with Wilcorp for twenty seven (27) years and is today ‘the man on the scissor lift’. While most of us spend our days walking the floor with customers, Larry spends much of his time 7,8, even 12 feet above the floor installing ceilling fans, hanging new merchandising displays, adjusting theatrical lighting and swiffering, to keep ceilling fans way up there, just as clean and dust free as the ones closer to the floor.

Theatrically lit product, in either 3200 or 5500 Kelvin colour ranges reveal to the human eye, colours, textures and architectural detail not otherwise seen with ordinary display lights. This means that when a designer snaps a photo to show the client, a very accurate representation of the product gets presented as in ‘what you see at Wilcorp, is what you get at Wilcorp’.

Spaciously displayed product just makes sense, by not offending one’s visual senses. The principles of Feng Shui have been known and practiced for centuries by the masters of interior design, the Japanese and the Chinese. Almost every day our team adjusts, relocate and re-light displays to offer visitors the most pleasing experience possible. As our knowledge of Feng Shui and display design principles evolve, so too will the Wilcorp Experience we offer all visitors.
